Airtel, Google join hands to launch Free Zone service in India

Google and Bharti Airtel recently publicized the launch of ‘Free Zone’ that will be powered by Google. This ‘Free Zone’ will provide Bharti Airtel mobile users an access to not only mobile web search free of cost but also to features like phone friendly versions of Google+ & Gmail in India. This would be Google’s next step to get connected with its users while Airtel subscribers will get great benefit. Indeed, a wise step by both the organizations.
Speculations were already there but both of these mega companies officially announced it on Wednesday. This ‘Free Zone’ let’s customer access the first page of any website from search results but at no data cost. A source revealed, “Free Zone aims to put the web in the hands of more people and empower first time Internet users with several useful services of the Internet.” Apart from this, this will also help the organizations that use web for promoting  their services and products as the target audience will increase.
