Vodafone, Airtel Slashes 2G Data Rates By 80-90 Percent

Mobile phone service providers are facing cutting edge competition due to rate wars. Due to mounting competition, leading telecom companies Bharti Airtel and Vodafone have decided to slash down their current 2G Data rates by nearly 80 to 90 percent of the ongoing prices. The rumors were already in market but both of these companies have confirmed the news by offering new 2G Data rates. This will give customers a great relief as they would have to spend less for the service that is in much demand today.
Bharti Airtel has slashed down the prices by huge 90% of the previous prices for its pre-paid users while Vodafone has lowered down the prices by 80% of its previous rates for its post-paid as well as pre-paid subscribers. Airtel announced the new price list after one day when Vodafone announced its rate. Bharti Airtel has launched these rates for its customers of Haryana as well as Punjab while Vodafone has started it for UP West, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh along with Chhattisgarh circles. These changes may get introduced in rest of the country soon.
The internet packs of Bharti Airtel has been Rs 125, Rs 25 and Rs 22, carrying a free download limit of 1 GB for 28 days, 150 MB for 7 days and 125 MB for 5 days respectively. After the downloaded limit got over, the subscribers were charges 10 paisa per 10 KB but after this announcement the amount will be mere 1 paisa per 10 KB.
Moreover the validity of these packs has also been increased. For Rs 25 and Rs 22 vouchers, the validity is now for 30 days while for Rs 125, its 90 days. Vodafone has also lowered the rates to 2 paisa per 10KB from its earlier 10 paisa per 10 KB.
