The giant of PC making, Dell is reportedly taking keen interest in new innovative field of wearable computing. According to the reports Dell is all ready to mull over wearable computing devices. Dell has always lead the innovation path and is now planning to innovate entirely new series of computing devices.
The big fat fish in PC making has been seeing some downhill over past few months, reports say. During the first quarter of this year, this mega giant business has seen a downhill of approximately 9%. The major cause for this fall out is considered the rising trend of tablets, Smartphone and of course wearable computing. So Dell has made full proof plans to try out its hands in wearable computing since the devices like digital watches and Google Glasses has enhanced the drift abruptly recently. This will help the company to gain back its position in the computing market.
Reports are there of Google shipping its latest Google Glass headsets to numerous explorers while Google’s much awaited Pebble Smart watch is all ready to hit the retail market this month with a bang. On the other hand, Apple the big tech giant is also emerging with its Smart watch to give a big competition from the front. With all such heavy competition around, Dell has definitely got to think of some new innovative ways and ideas to maintain its repo in the tech market.
Sam Burd, the global vice president of Dell’s personal computing section said that the company is holding plannings to start on many connected devices that also include wearable ones.
Some sources has revealed that Dell, to buck up strongly against all the competition, is trying hard to go private for wearable computing since at present only wearable computing seems like a profitable alternative to this company which is currently at some loosing ends.
