Yahoo Inc has made a purchase with amount $50 million. The terms of the deal between these two are have yet to be disclosed. The deal is supposed to be the plan of Yahoo Inc to boost up its eminent existence in the Smartphone and tablet market. Since, these days every tech giant is planning to take advantage of the hot sector of smart phones, this is Yahoo is initiative towards entering this sector.
Well this is the third acquisition by Yahoo so far in this working year. Earlier last week Yahoo acquired another mobile app developer company Bignoggins Productions while in May it bought for $1.1 billion the famous blogging service Tumblr. If reports are to be believed, this big fish is all set to enter the world of Smartphone and tablets with a bang to rule out other competitors to make a strong come back in the ruling positions.
Yahoo, who was facing a great competition and ultimately a revenue shrink due to Google Inc as well as Facebook Inc, is trying all hard to make a strong comeback. The experts provide all the credit to the new CEO of Yahoo Inc Marissa Mayer, the ex-Google executive who took the charge in her hands in the year 2012.
A source said, “Qwiki’s mobile application would be supported by Yahoo and the employees of Qwiki will soon start working from Yahoo’s New York offices.” Moreover reports are there that yahoo is also planning to buy online video website Hulu too very soon.
