Apple is facing troubles regarding trademark of the name of its newest addition in its tech store,  iWatch, in USA, UK along with China and some areas of Europe.
The much awaited and heavily discussed Smart watch, which has not been yet launched, is already under trouble. These problems are regarding trademark issues, with its name – iWatch, because in some areas of the world especially USA, UK, China along with some areas of Europe, this name is already owned by some other companies.  Some companies in these areas claim to already own the trademark for using this name “iWatch” and hence Apple cannot make use of this name for its Smart watch.
This name “iWatch” has allegedly being registered in Mexico, Japan, Turkey and Taiwan, as claimed, while a California based firm from USA, named OMG Electronics is also claiming to possess the hold of the trademark. In European Union and UK, a company namely Probendi claims to possess the trademark of this name since the year 2008. This company claims to use this name for one of their app that is used to send video, audio along with data of the location from Smartphone to the management software of the Probendi. Moreover in China, almost 9 companies are claiming to have got this name registered for them. This has put Apple into deep trouble as several people  in the world are already using products by this name.
Undoubtedly Apple is facing some big issues here but experts say the company will manage to come out of it soon. Well this is not the first time the company has been facing some trademark name issues. The earlier case was with iPad’s name where company had to pay $60 million to an organization regarding the same.
